First of all the setting is breathtaking... you are nestled on the slopes of San Pedro volcano  facing the volcanos of Toliman and Atitlan, and they are right in your face. Two acres of gardens, two swimming pools (not always with water), two boats, two bedrooms.

Then the sunrise hit the house at the first light of the morning making the shadows of the volcanos running on the hills of  lake Atitlan.

The garden full of orchids like a Monet painting. Nature reigns. The only neighbors are locals who paddle across the bay in the morning in their wooden kayak called "cayuco", work on their field and return home in the afternoon.

At night the lights of Santiago Atitlan shine like diamonds.

Finally the privacy.. only accessible by boat (boat included if you qualify).

Each large bedroom has a Queen size bed, stone fireplace and plenty of storage. They share a veranda which runs the length

of the house and views to the bay , volcanos and Santiago town. There are two full bathrooms, one upstairs, one down, and each has a luxurious shower. The kitchen is stocked with herbs and spices and all the cooking and serving equipment you'll need. You can shop for food you'll use during your stay in nearby Santiago or Panajachel. A large gas stove with oven and refrigerator are available for your use. Satellite TV is available as well as a variety of DVD.

The house is set up on a point, entirely powered by solar you will be leaving like your regular on the grid house.

There is behind the house a little care taker cottage with one bedroom, little kitchen and bathroom also powered by solar.

The property get is water from the lake and from a well. It comes also with a sail boat and boat.

Water comes from well, electricity from the sun.

RENTAL rates $ 500/wk for the main house for 2 to 4 guests  - Monthly rates are negotiable.

Price includes being picked up by boat at the dock in Santiago and being dropped off there when your stay is over.

A host couple will be on the property to help with information, tours, shopping and your other needs.
