Located in Santa Cruz La Laguna, the safest village around Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. A lot of people like to stay in Santa Cruz to explore and get the pulse of the lake. It is a quiet village with a lot of foreigners from all over the world (coming mostly during winter time). From the house you can get spanish lessons, do some kayaks, dive in the lake from the near by diving center, hike the mountains around or make a vegetable garden.
Every mornings the volcanos will be in your view and the lake offers a lot of changing mood during the day and the year. The house is centrally located walking distance to good restaurant, massage therapist (they can also come to your house) yoga classes. All the property is fenced and secure. The garden as a lot of traditional trees of the areas like avocados, jocotes (prune tree) and a large variety of heliconias.
Santa Cruz La Laguna is accessible only by boat but it is easy to hump up in a "collectivo" to go to Panajachel or San Marcos La Laguna. Or you can also get a private boat to take you all around the lake.. A great destination for vacation rental.
The house is 62 m2, 700 sqft with a kitchen well equiped (oven-stove-fridge with freezer, coffee maker, blender), large front living room with lotsof windows facing the volcanos. First floor bedroom with full bed and closet. Bathroom with shower and lots of hot water.
Rental includes linens, towels utilities and filtered water. Housekeeper, cook & laundry, WIFI internet available but not included in the price.
